Tracking Outreach

Log your contact attempts to track your follow-up activity.

What is an Outreach?

An Outreach (or Contact Attempt) is any time you try to reach out to a contact:

  • Phone call
  • Text message
  • Email
  • Social media message
  • In-person conversation

Recording an Outreach

From the Contact List

  1. Find the contact in your list
  2. Click the Actions menu (⋮)
  3. Select Add Outreach
  4. Fill in the details
  5. Click Save

From the Contact Detail Page

  1. Open the contact
  2. Go to the Outreach tab
  3. Click New Outreach
  4. Fill in the details
  5. Click Save

Method Options

Status Options

StatusMeaning
SuccessfulYou reached them and had a conversation
No AnswerThey didn't pick up or respond
BusyThey were busy, call back later
No InterestThey declined or showed no interest
ScheduledYou scheduled a follow-up

Viewing Outreach History

All outreach attempts are logged and visible:

  • On the contact's detail page
  • In the Activities feed
  • In the Planner view

Tips for Effective Outreach Tracking

Best Practices
  1. Log immediately - Record attempts right after you make them
  2. Be specific - Add notes about what was discussed
  3. Set follow-ups - When scheduling, add the next attempt date
  4. Track all methods - Every contact attempt matters
